Inspect and measure runout
On arrival we clean the part, measure every journal and bearing fit, and check runout to find exactly where the shaft has worn, sprung, or bent. The inspection is free.

Pre grind the journals
Worn journals and bearing fits are pre ground to a clean, true surface so the build up bonds to good base metal, not to old wear and scoring.

Build up worn areas
Where diameter has been lost, we restore it by welding or metal spray, choosing the right method for the material and the load the surface has to carry.

Grind to size
The built up journals and fits are ground back to the original OEM size, restoring the exact tolerance the bearings need to seat and last.

Recut keyways and splines
Worn or rolled over keyways are recut and splines are recut new, so nothing carries old wear or slop into the rebuilt part.

Straighten, balance, final inspect
The shaft is straightened, then balanced so it runs true with minimal runout. Every dimension is verified to zero tolerance, backed by an up to 24 month warranty.
