Solution Gear Co. has spent more than two decades keeping heavy rotating equipment running across the Texas Gulf Coast. Refineries, paper mills, steel plants, and marine operators in Houston, Pasadena, and Lake Charles send us the units that cannot fail, and we send them back ready to run. When a plant has a line down, they do not want a sales pitch. They want a shop that picks up the phone, picks up the gearbox, and gets it fixed.

Because every step happens under our own roof, we control the whole job from inspection to final machining. That control is how we rebuild a unit stronger than OEM instead of just patching it. A worn case gets remachined true, gears are cut to spec or reverse engineered when no drawing exists, bearings are poured and fit to the journal, and nothing leaves until it measures right. The result is a rebuilt gearbox that often outlasts the original.

Andrew owns the shop and leads teardown and inspection in person. With more than twenty years of hands on industrial gear and gearbox work, he has rebuilt planetary sets out of mining drives, repoured babbitt bearings for paper machine rolls, and reverse engineered gears for machines whose makers closed decades ago. When a refinery or steel plant calls with a line down, he is the one who looks at the unit and tells you straight what it needs and what it does not.

That hands on experience is why the writing in our insights reads the way it does. Every article is drawn from work that has actually crossed our floor, not from a search result. If we say a worm wheel fails a certain way, it is because we have cut its replacement.
